When on, saving a preset also stores the current camera position/angle/zoom, and loading it restores that view. Off by default — presets only affect the fractal + look.
GPU config — see header button (the GPU icon in the icon rail opens the connection panel). Relocating the panel into this sub-tab is deferred pending a mobile-positioning follow-up.
Basic hides power-user / GPU-fractal controls (Surface Quality, Morph, CSG, Cross-Section, Symmetry, Path Tracing, Multi-Light, Compositor, Signal Flow node graph, LFO, HQ Video, Remote Render) to tame the control surface on smaller screens. Advanced shows everything. Remembered on this device.
